Homecoming, a return to my own reality

I am back, early morning the plane landed on Norwegian ground again, a good two weeks in the land of smiles was exactly what I needed. Initially, when I wrote my previous post, sitting at the airport, I had grand plans of taking pictures and writing a new blog post every day. That obviously did not happen. For a little while, I thought it might have been a good idea to just write a day-by-day thing after the trip was over, but that did not happen either.

So this is what I did in the end, this blog post that you are reading right now, so here goes.

The trip was great, spent a lot of time with my family, I lived together with them so it was given. We spent most of the days doing the same beach routine, hanging with our extended Thai family which dates back twenty years. Our first trip to Thailand was in 2000 or something, so we have had quite a few trips there since then. It is a lovely place, so no wonder we keep returning. Our main Thailand base is on Phuket island, and the place is named Kamala. Not really sure if it’s written with one or two m’s, but yeah, Google it!

Besides the usual beach routine, we also had a trip to Krabi, where we stayed for a weekend. Over there we got to visit a Monkey sanctuary, an island famous for its beauty, and I found the dream cafe of my life. As you probably know by now, I love going to cafes and bringing my Mac or iPad to write or surf the local areas to plan my trip. Or just sitting there editing pictures from previous trips, memories are such a nice thing, and I love walking down memory lane. I probably should start reviewing coffee shops or something, maybe would be a nice thing to do. Anyways, I am out of stuff to write about, so here is a little gallery with images from my trip to Thailand in 2023.
